Combining music from folk, alternative, classic rock, R & B, and pop genres, Jenna Drees offers multi-faceted entertainment and creates a distinctive sound that can be described as soulful, charming, and charismatic.

Jenna, born and raised in Anna, OH, has had a love of music from a young age. As a child, she bonded with her father through music, and her passion continued to grow as she went through middle school and high school. She participated in choir, band, and jazz band during her public school career and was also an active vocalist at Sacred Heart of Jesus Church in McCartyville, OH, where she continues to serve as a cantor, wedding vocalist, and member of their youth group band.

When it came to deciding her career path, she knew two things: she wanted to be a teacher and she wanted the opportunity to pass on her love and appreciation of music to others. She decided to combine the two and become a music teacher, receiving her Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education (Choral Emphasis) from Ohio University. While studying there, she expanded her creative knowledge by diving into the realm of collegiate a cappella. She became a member of one of two all-female a cappella groups at Ohio University, The Tempo Tantrums. While in the group, she developed her music writing skills through creating a cappella arrangements, dabbled in vocal percussion, performed at a variety of events and venues in and around Ohio University’s campus, and eventually served as President of the ensemble during her last year of college. She was also a member of the prestigious University Singers and a professional choir member at the Church of the Good Shepherd.

As part of her degree program, Jenna took rigorous vocal and piano lessons and became well versed in both areas. Nevertheless, she wanted to push herself further as a musician, so she began teaching herself how to play the guitar. After a few years of practicing and perfecting her acoustic covers, she began her career as a solo musician in 2014, with her debut performance at The Bridge in Sidney, OH. Since then, Jenna has performed at a variety of venues around area, including most notably The Bridge, Brew Nation, Morrie’s Landing,  and Mulligan’s Pub, as well as events such as Community Days, Wagner Fest, Country Star Playoffs, and the Country Concert Karaoke Contest.

Jenna has not yet released any EP’s or albums, but would like to start writing her own music soon. She enjoys recording/editing and is interested in collaborating with other artists to create new music.
